About:
Herricks Youth Against Cancer ran a schoolwide toy drive to benefit the Cancer Center for Kids at NYU Winthrop University Hospital. The hospital sent the organization a wish list and, with generous donations from faculty, students and staff members, YAC collected at least one of each item re quested.
Kim Krupa, the Child Life Specialist at the Cancer Center, coordinated the project with the Youth Against Cancer board and adviser Dan Doherty. The board consists of Aleyah Ali, Natalie Reisman, Sarah Andreano, Melissa Lau, Natalie Pusateri, Nina Schifano and Odellia Kidanian. The Cancer Center for Kids works with children and their families that are diagnosed with any form of cancer.
